If you've got something you think Death would know about you (ie. how and when you died, if you came back, how many times you died, any sort of afterlife you might've experienced, and where and when you were born, actually, too) then go ahead and comment with the information and the name(s) of your character(s).

She's not completely omniscient, so she won't know every detail of your life, but she'll have a general gist. So if there's some major plotpoint in your canon that might lead to your death, then I suppose she'd have heard wind of that, too.

Thanks so much, it's a pleasure to play with you all!

Batgirl [info]insilencespeak has died twice, revived by Shiva and then the Lazarus Pit. She didn't experience an afterlife. It's never said when or where she was born, but I assume somewhere in China (haw haw narrowing it down there), and she's canonically 18.

Piper (this guy!) should have died when he blew up Brother Eye, but was somehow saved and then taken here. Where/when he was born is not said either. I have placed his age at 33.

Balthazar [info]molotovmartinis comes from Constantine, which is like a bizarro-Vertigo! He's a half-demon who, I think, stands a pretty good chance of recognizing that Death and Delirium are a Big Deal and that he'd better slink away on his belly. He was born in Hell centuries ago.

Selina is one of the few comic book characters that hasn't actually died, although she's been veeeeery close a few times. Closest was probably when she got zapped by the Beti-ma's jade cat statue (see icon) and was medically dead for a few minutes?

She was also yanked out of Gotham right before she got her heart cut out. That didn't actually kill her either, as she was hooked up to bunches of machines before Batman got her heart back from Hush, but feel free to play with that if you want. She's already been informed about her future :/

Oops, missed the age thing. She just turned 30 on March 14th and she was born and raised in Gotham's East End :)

Mazikeen [info]daughterinexile is obviously from the exact same universe and although she herself has never come close enough to dying to warrant a visit from Death, I'm sure that the two of them are familiar with one another beyond simply 'knowing of'. Not exactly sure how familiar you are with Lucifer-specific canon, but I've pulled her from post-Lucifer series which means that Death can probably tell that Mazikeen is the Lightbringer now, simply because it's such a HUGE amount of power that's exchanged hands.

Castiel [info]of_thursdays is an angel and although is not familiar with Death as a personification, is familiar with the various supernatural beings that surround death (like, he vaguely recognized and understood George's nature as a reaper). Angels can die in Supernatural, but Castiel's never really come close.

Teddy's just an alien. No clue whether or not she'd be able to pick up on that, but it's really hard for Teddy to die canonly given the nature of his powers.

Mazikeen she'll definitely know. And yes, while she's probably not from that point in canon, she'll be able to sense it, and... oh lord, will she be asking Luc when they have a talk.

Oh, she'll probably be able to tell he's an angel, but might not know him in particular.

Teddy... well, if he's not DC I don't think she'll know.

Starscream [info]loltraitorlol has died twice in canon. Well... technically he only died once, the second time was just getting shot out of Waspinator's body. More than that, though, Starscream is incapable of actually moving on. His Spark (transformer equivalent of a soul) cannot dissipate, it is literally indestructible, so if he's killed he floats around as a disembodied energy sphere until he finds a new host body. Normally when a Transformer dies, they return to the Well of All Sparks / the Allspark (or the Matrix, or to Primus himself, depending on continuity); Starscream can't, and not by choice, either. Canonically his is some sort of flaw or mutation. He's spent over three hundred years in said disembodied spirit state, floating between life and death.
Furthermore, Starscream is also an air commander and was the second in command to what essentially amounted to a mass murderer and terrorist, participating in a war that's lasted well over four million years with the (implied) losses of millions of lives.

As such, Starscream will probably ping her hard. If you want other Sandman stuff (I like to pretend that the Endless really ARE universal) she might also comment that he's utterly, completely chained by Desire. If she 'pings' him back or if he figures out that yes, she's Death... well, it could be interesting, idk. TALK TO ME, BB (ALSO HI THAR YUMI DID YOU MISS ME?!)

MY OTHER CHARACTERS:

Fakir [info]notyetwritten accidentally killed his parents when he was four using his powers. This STILL gives him angst. If we're going with the "other Endless" thing, he's very strongly Dream's as his power is to bend reality by writing stories.

Johnny Truant [info]fuckmodernism ... has just been around death for most of his life. He's 100% totally and completely Delirium's and this is in fact CnC canon now.

Why hello my dear, Riddler here! You know, the fellow who comes to knock on your door then runs away at the very last minute. And STILL thinks it's funny? That guy.

Eddie's had a lot of run-ins with almost dying, but hasn't quite made the final transition. You'd think a guy who routinely makes enemies of homicidal, presumably competent people would be six feet under a few times over, wouldn't you? Really. It's a bloody mystery!

I don't know if that's any use to you, but I'd be delighted if Death knew all about Riddler. It'd really throw him for a curve.

Edit: Also, I can compile a list of People Who Have Failed to Kill Eddie, but that's really tedious. So here's a few names that are fun!

Hush/Thomas Elliot (a jerk)
Jeremy (touchy little hick guy, whined a lot over dead girlfriend that was killed during one of Riddler's crime sprees, committed suicide)
King Tut/Victor Goodman (recently introduced in retrospective canon; I'm counting it, whines about Riddler robbing museums. Goodness, what else is he going to rob? Really.)

If you want any more to work with, just ask!

Wee, tl;dr...
*dances through* As the only characters I ever seem to like are dead/have died...

Kiryu Kyosuke ([info]satisfiedsigner): Kiryu used to be the leader of a group called Team Satisfaction, including him, Yuusei, Jack, and Crow. They lived in Satellite, which is an island that pretty much exists to recycle trash from the main city (including people "trash"). It was a pretty crappy place to live, so he formed Team Sat to try to make their lives better. They managed to take over all of main Satellite...then Kiryu went too far, killed a Security officer and got hauled off. Yuusei is involved somehow, but we're not sure how yet.

We also don't know how long Kiryu was in jail before being executed (I've headcanoned him being a year or so dead with his death being by electrocution, but that isn't actually canon as far as we know). A Peruvian god that used to form a Nazca line came to him at the moment of death and gave him a sort of half-zombish life. He was technically dead, but he could switch between a state of actually looking dead (black sclera & paler skin) and being "alive". Coming through the porter gave him real life back, though he can still switch back to looking dead.

He should also know Delirium, but has been avoiding talking to her because he hates that aspect of himself. And he's about 21 until canon says otherwise.

Fujiwara no Sai ([info]honinboshusaku): Much less complicated. XD Sai was born in the Heian era of Japan (1000 years ago), and worked as a Go instructor for the Emperor. He got cheated out of his job and thrown out of the capital. Two days later, the drowned himself in a river as he had no other way to live.

However, he came back as a ghost to play more Go and haunted a Go board for almost 900 years before attaching to Honinbo Shusaku. After Shusaku's death, he waited another 140 year before he could attach to Hikaru Shindou. After another two years, he was about to move on and leave this world completely.

The porter gave him real life again too. And he's ecstatic. And...he's maybe 28-ish? I don't think he has a definitive age in canon.

Well... he isn't canon Bats. But he is Bats. So he should be familiar, just... different? This one, I don't think, has ever come close to dying, but comics!Bats has, at the least, had his back broken and been beaten within an inch of his life, and is supposed to have vanished from the world into an ever-increasingly sucky alternate dimensions in which he dies.

The Master/[info]master_supreme has died about a billion times in his canon and has caused/been around a bunch of death, so he'll definitely get pinged.

To elaborate, born on Gallifrey, House of Oakdown, real name Koschei. Age is about... 900ish, but it's hard to really lock an age on him thanks to time travel and the fact that he's spent a lot of time out of commission due to dying. Also, he's made it a mission to go out and destroy planets/civilisations for little other purpose except to be a jerk, died a bunch, may have caused a portion of the universe to get wiped out through entropy, died some more, survived the Time War while his species and a bunch of others were wiped out, went to the end of the universe and was surrounded by death there as the planets and stars died, annnd killed over 1/10th of the planet Earth for kicks. And then he died again.

And also, I have no idea if this would have any bearing on your Death, since DC =/= Doctor Who, buuuut in a quasi-canon audio (well, I play it as canon), the Master's basically Death's servant and she's been cited as the reason why he's such a complete bastard lunatic who fails at everything, etc etc. Granted, it's an entirely different mythos (and I'm lame and never read any Sandman for some reason, so I don't know DC Death well), but! The gist of this is: despite not being the same Death, she can know anything you'd like about him.

SO YEAH. If you want to plot on anything, I'm happy to give more info.

BUT UM. XDD He could probably mistake her for his Death, which would lead her into probing his past and things and finding all that out for herself. Right off the bat she'll be able to sense he's got the Regeneration thing going and died a bunch of times, and she'll probably figure out the Time War and the whole... one of two final Timelords in existence thing.

WHEW, okay. The rundown of my characters would be:

KNIVES: Aside from the fact that he was pulled from the moment after he dies, Knives has seen a lot of death in his day, mostly because he spent 152 years of his life eradicating the human race. This sort of puts him in an odd place because he's psychotic as well as dead so he kind of belongs to Delirium and Death? Other than that, Death is free to know anything about him from here.

SLADE: This...is kind of tricky. Because while Slade does exist in comics canon, this one is from the toon so I'm not exactly sure what she'd know. His application is here so that's a pretty good reference, but uh...yeah, however you wanna play it is pretty much OK with me.

Thanks very much! She'll probably be acting like Knives' best friend at this point, and refer to him as "ours" when talking to Del about him.

She'll probably get a little confused... the same thing's happening with Batman. She'll think that the comic canon things have happened to him, and act and talk like she's talking to comic Slade. She won't know toon canon, I don't think? Since she's a comic muse... is that okay?

Abluh hi~ This guy Tim is, obviously, from DC, and has had a few close calls with death (like the time he caught The Clench, or when Jason nearly killed him, or that time he got buried in a truck under concrete with Cluemaster and nearly suffocated) and has had a lot of people he cares about die (His parents, possibly his stepmother and fake uncle, Superboy, Impulse/Kid Flash/Flash, Darla even though she came back, Young El he tried to save from drowning but failed, Clyde Rawlins (token black dude from Tim's first mini) and he thought Steph was dead but then she wasn't). Plus he's actually killed one guy, and DID kill Lady Shiva accidentally when he was high on superspeed herbs but then brought her back with CPR.

So yeah. I figure Death will ping him. He's also 17 and got adopted by his Bruce so he's technically Timothy Drake-Wayne but he has kept this mostly secret in the City.

Meanwhile Clark Kent, [info]goodtothecore is from Smallville, 17 and uhm. Well, according to the one guy who could see people's deaths, he doesn't have an end. So that's awesome. He also saves people a lot but has failed to do so on a couple of occasions (cue MASSIVE GUILT) and holds himself responsible for the death of Ma Kent's unborn baby :| So do with that what you will, I am easy~

And finally, Skeets, [info]busterskeets, used to be a robot and is now in a human body. He's totally from DC but will really not ping at all XD

Clark she will puzzle over, because as far as she knows everything's going to end eventually, because she has to turn the lights out at the end afterwards. XD So it'll be interesting for them to meet up and chat~

And Skeets she'll know, but only because of her... *was there at the birth of everything* thing. She might not know too much about him aside from the robot-to-human deal.

Kay, this might get complicated.

So this guy is The Shadow, who has had pulps, a radio series (which is the one this one is actually from), movies, at least some attempts at TV series, and a whole bunch of comics. Where bunch of comics means he went from newspaper comics to Archie comics (that's a rather bad version) to DC in at least four different iterations and crossovering into Batman twice, a short trip into Marvel, and lastly to Dark Horse.

Uh. I think that translates to her knowing a version of him, but not him precisely, since his pulp and comic versions are gunslingers, but this one in the show only really wields a gun if he has to. He has been around a lot of people killing themselves though, since apparently if you're confronted with The Shadow it's better to kill yourself than to go to the chair, but he hasn't died, and the suicides/accident-prone are usually only one person at a time.

Um. He's a New Yorker and comes from Jan. 1941 and I've estimated him as being around 30. *stops babbling now*

Spoilers galore!
Blackarachnia ([info]blk_arachnia) has nearly died a couple times, once back when she was still Elita-1 (an Autobot) and the giant spiders attacked her, infecting her with their venom as she used her downloading (basically a copying ability that doesn't last long) on them, which turned her into what she is now. The second time would be when she used the Allspark Key (a key that had been charged by the Allspark that was being kept in Sari Sumdac's hands while the Autobots watched over her) to rid herself of her organic half. Instead it turned out her Spark couldn't survive without her organic half and if it hadn't been for Optimus Prime she would have died.

Since the Decepticons and Autobots are at war she's probably seen her fair share of death.

Also she is at least 1000+ years old, not exactly sure how old but she has been a Decepticon for 1000 years.

Bobby Pendragon ([info]leadtraveler) has seen his fair share of death and has had a few near death experiences, nothing too noteworthy though. Mainly just attacks by Quigs (beast that protect the flumes (tunnels that connect Territories) when Saint Dane is in a Territory (world)), such as the big bear-like ones that nearly ripped his arm off, or the bee ones that stung him enough times to have killed a normal person. I'm sure there's other instances but I'm failing at remembering them.

He has witnessed a few of his fellow Travelers die as well as hundreds of normal human - Uncle Press was shot by gangsters, Loor was stabbed by Saint Dane (but Bobby brought her back to life), Adler when he was shot by Naymeer's guards and Kasha died when the flume collapsed on her. Hundreds of others thanks to him throwing Naymeer (who was a Traveler in his place when he gave up on himself) out of a helicopter, which forced a huge flume to open up and suck people into a stadium into it. He's fought in various wars on the many Territories he's visited. Oh and he also witnessed the crash of the Hindenburg, which he tried to stop from happening.

Bobby is technically 19 but thanks to it being 2009 he is 21.

I thought I responded to this... orz

The actual reason as to why Dark Yuugi died is a bit sketchy, but it happened 3,000 years ago and while he was trying to protect his country from a Dark God. He obviously came back, but only because he sealed himself and the Dark God in the Millennium Puzzle which the normal Yuugi solved. He was born in Egypt, about a month or so before the creation of the Millennium Items. Would Death be able to sense that the Puzzle (or any item) is made out of 99 dead people?

He's going to "experience death" when he goes through Memory World. A month after that, he'll go through Ceremonial Duel with Yuugi and actually die for real.

And a question for you, would she be able to know his real name? Or... what?

I think Death would definitely be able to sense the 99 dead people... she won't know what happened exactly, but she'll know it's made of dead people for sure, and that Yuugi's died and come back, and probably... that he's going to have some sort of death-like experience in his future.

But she won't know specifics, since he's not from her world, I don't think. Is that okay?

Oh. Uhhhh, hey.

Hi. Cheshire, the mother of Roy's child, nuked a country not too long ago. Quirac. I don't think she'd know Roy, specifically, but his mentordad Ollie (Green Arrow) is dead at this point and will be alive again within the year. Um. In canon, Green Lantern put his body back together atom by atom and then his soul came back down from heaven, not even kidding.

Suppose that's it. He has more weird friends than he is weird himself. =|b

ajkshdjas sorry, wrong journal
|D Thanks for posting!

Ohhh, nuking countries = big ping for Death. She'll definitely know about that whole atom by atom fiasco, though. Yeesh.

XD; She might... have a tiny inkling of Roy, IDK... canonically she's supposed to have been at the birth and death of everyone in the universe, but it doesn't have to apply if you don't want it to.

[info]96pineapples @ rivelata

Would probably be able to sense that she's quite literally on death's doors, with her only being kept alive due to illusions and all. xD

O.O Chrome!!!

...Death would have, yeah. D: And she's talked to her, too! What with... them being paired up for that one event. @_@ I just failed at posting. *headdesk*

But ohh, they can talk. |D Death can be all... I dunno. She'll try to help her.

Errrr, D ([info]lookma_nolegs)? In heritance and complicated brother arguing aside, he ran away from his uncle after he saw him kill his dad, but he'd strained himself so much, that at the edge of a pit in a mine, his heart stopped, he lost control of his body, and GERONIMOOO. He was a ghost for 57 years, wandering the island (where the Edward mansion, mine, and cemetery are) in search of his memories. He should've passed on, but here he is, in the flesh (somehow), at Rivelata.

He''s also about to revert back to ghost in a few months...would she know that? XD;

XDD She won't know about his past, likely... except for him seeing death and all. And how he died, probably. And yes, she'll know about the ghost stuff, and know what's happening.

XD If that's okay.

Mithos sort of cheated death. Not REALLY, because he can still die, but only if someone stabs him or kills him. He can't die by any other normal means. Er, well, maybe if someone crushed his Cruxis Crystal, but that's like the same as stabbing him. ANYWAY. Um. So. Maybe she'd know something?

XD Probably that he cheated death, and can't die by normal means.

But beyond that? Probably not much... except OH! She can probably tell that he can do funky stuff with people's souls?

Dick should have died during Infinite Crisis. But didn't. Feel free to bring that up. Not to mention the countless other times he's come close to dying, although none closer than when he was 12 and Two-Face beat him (I'm fairly certain his heart stopped) to death with a baseball bat. Batman and Alfred revived him, though.

Also, feel free to mention that he killed the Joker at one point, too. The Joker was revived by the Huntress on Batman's orders, but hey. Bit of a sore spot for the kid.

Seymour has already died once in canon, killed by none other than Yuna and her guardians. Death is a saving grace, in his eyes so he'll interact with her very reverently.

With Grell, he doesn't mind if she knows everything about his life. He's so used to subjecting people to TOO MUCH INFORMATION and has more than likely already told her things she probably never needed to hear >>;

But as a Reaper I think he'd share his List with her and cross-examine names and details and such since he's privy to that kind of information too.

Ohh, Seymour. Death will probably enjoy having tea and talks with him... at least, she'll be intrigued by the whole dead-but-not-dead deal that seems to happen in FFX a lot.

X3 Grell ♥ they are BFFs forever and she's probably delighted to hear all of it. And she's comfortable talking to him about all of that, since she knows he KNOWS, too. X3 It's nice to have a buddy to share a big big big big secret with.

Dear god, I forgot to fill this out. Ah well.

Adam ([info]400yearsold) is immortal and can heal. As such, he's died and rengenerated god knows how many times and never experienced an afterlife. He's been shot, blown up, stabbed, pushed off a cliff, etc. etc. At the username states, he's around 400 years old, born in England. A few major plot points that Adam hasn't gotten to yet are being buried alive and actually dying when Arthur Petrelli takes his power.

Dr. Horrible ([info]badhorsefan) is suck a freaking boy scout. He's around his late twenties and I have no idea where he was born. Hasn't died, hasn't seen anyone die, but will kill Penny in the future.

Harvey Dent ([info]notthebatman) lives in Gotham. As such, he's seen death. It's mostly various people the Joker's killed. In his future, he hears Rachel die which fucks him up so he becomes Two-Face and kills some dudes before dying. He's late thirties and born in Gotham.

No worries! ♥

Adam and Death be buddies. Be good buddies. She might drop a few hints about his plotty points, and promise to be nice about going about them. :| Make being buried alive a little less ick than it is.

Dr. Horrible. X3 She'll be sad for him, definitely... but she won't try to influence him too much until she needs to see him, probably.

She will be sad for Harv, too... but she'll be kind and nurturing to him, especially if he goes Two-Face mode.
